My first job as a radiographer for NRHS began as the only over-night tech over our ED, ICU, and the floors. I had the role of managing my own area and work from November 2019 to 2023. Through that experience, I've garnered confidence in my work, confidence in my communication with doctors and other departments, and and an assertive nature to get things done. My work is aided by a culture of patient care and an extensive experience as a nurse aide. Where some image a patients in nearly their same positions, I take the time to assist patients up in bed for proper imaging, which improves their current condition and imaging. After changing shifts to evenings, I improved on my teamwork skills as I would cover work for my teammates needing lunches and breaks from the ED or surgeries. I have had two such awards for teamwork given to me each by two different nursing floor supervisors in prior years, for responding to needs for lunches and managing the extra workload in order to free my teammates.
