I have successfully led a team of process operators to ensure that production rates within the soda ash and sodium bicarbonate plants are consistently achieved. I need to have the highest regard for health and safety, and, with the use of key performance indicators, I ensure that the plants remain within the environmental constraints set by the Environment Agency and within the quality constraints set out by TATA. Within my current role, there is a requirement to have exceptional communication skills; I liaise with a range of people and organisations to ensure that the customer requirements are met and the plants remain a safe environment for my team. I have exceptionally high standards even when working within a high-pressured environment. I use SAP successfully on a daily basis and also operate areas of the plant using Delta – V systems as well as a variety of other different control systems.

I was solely responsible for one area of the plant; I maximised production safely and ensured this area of the plant remained within quality and environmental constraints. As well as being fully trained on the operation and maintenance of the distillation area of plant, I was also able to operate a number of other areas including, filtration, calcination and reaction vessels. I used SAP on a daily basis and also operated areas of the plant using Delta – V systems as well as a variety of other different control systems

Loading of containers and trailers with soda ash and sodium bicarbonate. Aiding the lead packer on pack lines to pack 25KG bags of product, as well as other packers on 1 ton bulk bag packing. I frequently used skid steer vehicles to keep areas of the plant and packing areas clean and tidy to maintain high safety standards. I used SAP on a daily basis to dispatch and add products onto the system for accurate stock checking to be maintained.

Loading and unloading of containers, trailers and flat-bed lorries using different varieties of fork lift truck and picking and packing of orders within time constraints. Use of skid steer vehicles for moving products around the site and for keeping areas clean.
