I started Varedan Technologies with 2 other partners to provide high-performance OEM motion control products with a focus on unique product features, high quality manufacturing and excellent customer support. As a founder of this start-up company, I've been responsible for many tasks, including finding and developing our first customers, servo amplifier and motion controller product design and development, automation project management, and customer support both in-house and in the field. I have extensive experience in designing digital electronics targeted for automation applications using both DSP and programmable logic devices. In developing one of the leading companies in motion control, I work closely with our potential and existing customers from start to finish on automation projects, including sizing servo systems, developing motion control products for specific and general applications and supporting the products once in production. In addition to business and product development tasks, I've also designed custom PC based test equipment based around LabVIEW for our product lines. I have extensive experience in embedded microcontroller and DSP product development using assembly language, C, and C++ along with the associated tools for product debugging. I enjoy the challenge of finding a new customer need, creating a product to fill that need and working through the process to manufacture the end product that fills that need. I am comfortable in both the sales as well as the engineering side of a business. I understand the complexities of running a company and working with cash flow, bank loans, daily operations, manufacturing, parts ordering, product build cycles and managing employees.
