I enjoy building and repairing anything. I found the most joy in my work while working at a manufacturing plant where I would perform root cause analysis on proprietary machines (identifying the issues, creating solutions, and implementing changes in a continuous improvement environment). I began setups for these machines much faster than expected, proving my ability to learn quickly. I look forward to creating innovative solutions while building my skill set and learning on the job in a hands-on working environment.I also enjoy working directly with the customer. I held a role at a software company where I performed duties much like an Applications Engineer. The day to day included working with the clients to identify their needs, providing solutions with our software, and training clients. I traveled to client sites to teach optimization, utilizing our software. This training saved them money upfront, as they used our process to reduce costs and increase output. This also helped boost sales by showcasing our software’s ability to meet client needs. I take pride in being able to help others while utilizing my expertise in mechanics. I am link between the clients and the engineering team, translating the customer needs to our team as well as clarifying how our products will help our clients. Fielding sales calls became second nature. I am currently expanding my knowledge of programming and robotics in my free time with Python classes and Arduino kits.My love for mechanics began early as a child. I would be curious as to how things were made and how they function. I began tinkering with items that I found around my home which began failing. Being fascinated by the inner workings of random items lead me to choose a career as a Mechanical Engineer. I found my passion in identifying issues and creating solutions.On a personal level, I am very proud to say I completed my first half marathon in 2017. I enjoy going to the gym, but I am unable to run these days due to a knee injury. This doesn’t’ affect my day to day activity, it only stopped me from training for a full marathon. I am optimistic that I will be able to run again someday. My hobbies include weightlifting, working on classic cars, woodworking, 3D modeling/design, and more (if I can afford the tools, I find happiness in performing the task, building or repairing anything I can).I am always happy to learn something new. I strongly believe that teamwork creates success in a company. I am looking forward to adding value to a great team.
