As Human Capital Director I am responsible for Human Capital across the business. This included the following responsibilities:• Human Capital Due Diligence - Analysis of any potential purchases in terms of their position, potential, momentum and risk. Also providing broader insight into their business culture. Making recommendations that form part of the buy decision.• Supporting redevelopment - Working with the portfolio businesses, making recommendations for change and supporting them in implementing that change. In some businesses this involves working with them in a purely advisory capacity, with some I have been seconded to work as part of their SMT. These included:- Trutex (leading school uniform manufacturer) - HR Director- Hexcite Group (leading commercial signage manufacture and maintenance business) - HR Director Designate- Chaucer – Global Redevelopment Team- Orchard House Foods – Recruitment Support Project• Preparing for sale – Working with the SMT in putting the business in the best possible position for sale.I also organised and chaired Human Resource Collaboration Days. Bringing together the HR Directors/Managers of all the portfolio businesses, to share ideas and learn from each other’s triumphs and cautionary tales.This role is highly challenging and diverse. I work with an incredibly capable team and fantastic mentor. I am used to getting in a car or on a plane to deal with an issue at a moments notice, and enjoy bringing my mixture of experience, insight and energy to any project I am working on. Show less
