• Conduct Human Resources planning activities with managers in order to proactively identify potential staffing challenges and develop action plans to mitigate risks• Consult with client managers regarding the requirements for vacant positions, initiate staffing processes, develop assessment tools for the staffing process based on the requirements of the position, and complete orientation of successful candidates• Present briefings to senior management regarding staffing trends, anticipated challenges and risks for the region and the progress of staffing processes • Advise management on the resolution of Labour Relations areas such as performance management, accommodations, and grievances

• Provide advice and guidance to hiring managers regarding recruitment, assessment methods, employment policies and legislation, and relevant collective agreements• Manage several concurrent high volume staffing processes• Assist with the administration of a national staffing process involving over 8000 applicants and 56 positions to be staffed as well as a wide variety of other staffing actions• Coordinate interviews and testing sessions for candidates across Canada• Prepare and distribute reports for unions and management regarding progress, timelines and budgets of large staffing processes, and labour relations issues• Assist with the training and mentorship of two HR co-op students
