My responsibilities as Regional Quality Director/Special Projects were to implement the entire Quality Program for the West Region. I created minimum Quality Requirements to be performed on a daily basis. To coach, teach, and train the individual company personnel from Managers to machine operators on all quality tests and procedures. To ensure that they are in compliance with all ASTM standards, and that they are being achieved. To optimize mix designs. As Project Manager I was responsible for all scheduling, installation of equipment, getting quotes, employees, sub-contractors, and vendors as well as managing the timeline and budget for the project.

To provide their customers the highest quality products, through testing, innovation, and advanced technologies, while steadily increasing their margins.

As the Site Manager at the Bonner Springs location, we were able to sustain an incredible growth of Home Center loads with Zero late loads. Production efficiencies in the Rekers plant as well as the Vena Plant both increased by as much as 10% with a reduction of as much as 5% unplanned downtime and 7% reduction in the junk rate.

As the Site Manager, at the West Des Moines, IA location, I was able to lead the Team with an amazing $1.2 million dollar increase to the overall P&L in the first year. My responsibilities as Site Manager for Oldcastle APG, is to review and approve all daily production and yarded reports. Review and approve production hours, purchase orders, transactions, all P&L reporting, kiln reports, raw material inventory, finished goods inventory, and managing the entire business. Maintain a Safe and clean environment, orientation and on-boarding of new employees, training, sales, capital expenditures, among various other duties. Production scheduling, planning models, personnel decisions, and day to day operations are also included.

To train operators to perform specific tests to insure they are producing quality units. To optimize mix designs to insure they will meet all ASTM specifications. To perform sieve analysis on aggregates, clay test, organic impurities test, compression tests, monthly quality committee meetings, and cost savings for mix designs among various other projects including cement, color, and admixture reductions. To ensure that we are producing the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost every day, without sacrificing the strength, color, integrity, or texture of our product.My responsibilities as Safety Director were to ensure that we were incompliance with OSHA and Oldcastle requirements. To create and implement the necessary policies, programs or procedures needed to achieve this. This also included, Weekly, Bi-Monthly and Monthly inspections, weekly toolbox meetings, monthly corporate reports, SWPPP reporting, SPCC inspections, monthly safety committee meetings, Fleet Driver Training, and employee training.
