My responsibilities as Quality Control Manager were to ensure that we were in compliance with ASTM standards and Oldcastle requirements. To train operators to perform specific tests to insure they are producing quality units. To optimize mix designs to insure they will meet all ASTM specifications. To perform sieve analysis on aggregates, clay test, organic impurities test, compression tests, monthly quality committee meetings, and cost savings for mix designs among various other projects including cement, color, and admixture reductions. To ensure that we are producing the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost every day, without sacrificing the strength, color, integrity, or texture of our product.My responsibilities as Safety Director were to ensure that we were incompliance with OSHA and Oldcastle requirements. To create and implement the necessary policies, programs or procedures needed to achieve this. This also included, Weekly, Bi-Monthly and Monthly inspections, weekly toolbox meetings, monthly corporate reports, SWPPP reporting, SPCC inspections, monthly safety committee meetings, Fleet Driver Training, and employee training.
