As a backend engineer, contributed to ongoing feature development of mobile-based payment processing system for real-estate platforms. Responsibilities and projects included integration with 3rd-party REST APIs, development of internal software tools, system design and architecture, and overall product support. Systems were built upon Google Cloud Platform and implemented with Java and Quarkus for highly-availabile, cloud-native microservices.

This position encompassed the continuous development of real-time signal processing, 3-D imaging, and user interfaces for a wireless EEG and biofeedback device. Tools for visualizations biofeedback and data analysis were written in C,C#/.NET and Lua. EEG data analysis and archival tools were written in Matlab and C. Additionally, contributed to the design and development of a RESTful API for organization's data management using Java EE7 and MS-SQL Server.I also acted as primary full-stack developer of client-facing and internal web applications for the organization's billing system, including a back-end migration of the system to Java EE7. Led the transition between online payment processing vendors. Existing web-app administrative tools were enhanced with using JSF/Primefaces.

I studied cognitive control and decision making processes in subjects with varying levels of alcohol use and/or dependence using fMRI and behavorial measures.

I studied basic lexical problem solving using high resolution EEG. I also developed mathematical models of information consolidation and decision making.

I received my Ph.D. in neuroscience in the laboratory of Jonathan Victor. My thesis addressed the nature of non-REM sleep architecture using a model of neuroelectric potentials described by a nonlinear dynamical system.
