As a Health Communications Specialist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), I apply my multimedia communication and journalism skills to create and disseminate clear, concise, and accurate health information to various audiences. I work with a team of experts to develop and implement communication strategies, products, and campaigns that promote public health awareness and action while also serving as the main media liaison for the Influenza Division. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia in 2018, where I honed my skills in journalistic writing, HTML coding, JavaScript, WordPress, and the Adobe Creative Suite. I also gained valuable experience as a breaking news and community reporter for The Palm Beach Post and The Athens Banner-Herald, where I produced daily content for print and online platforms. I am always looking for new opportunities to use and enhance my professional skills as a communicator in the age of digital media.
