Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability team leader for Trimellitic Anhydride process area of Joliet facility. Accountable for overall performance of area including safety/environmental performance, production, spending, team development, and overall performance improvement. Responsible for asset integrity, value conservation and further development of assets in plant. Oversee non-manpower fixed cost, monthly tracking, budget compliance and optimization.

Production area team leader responsible for business performance of Trimellitic Anhydride process area of Joliet Facility. Responsible for project prioritization, event management, budget compliance and production planning for area. Coordinate with commercial sales team to maximize production margins based on production/sales forecast. Develop area team to increase area utilization through improved reliability performance, value creation project implementation, and process upset diligent event management.

Short term maintenance and Long term reliability owner for production area of specialty petroleum based chemical plant. Responsible for building/overseeing area annual budget and prioritizing maintenance activities. Utilized tools such as RCFA, FMEA, Reliability Statistical Modeling to identify equipment bad actors and mitigate. Worked with site technical team to implement effective PM and life cycle management strategies to eliminate unit downtime and life cycle costs.

• Coordinate and manage multiple projects and assignments in a timely, safe, and cost effective manner.• Provide day to day technical assistance to the Reliability Center’s operation teams, including vendor information gathering, technology selection, basic engineering calculations, etc.• Assist in the estimating of projects and tasks for the RC(s).• Understand sponsor/owner objectives. Identify and communicate cost effective options that achieve these objectives.• Prepare specifications, drawings, bid packages, quotation analysis and other applicable documents for purchase, construction, and/or repair of refinery equipment and facilities.• Investigate problems. Identify and recommend solutions, non-hardware where appropriate.• Develop and maintain an in-house estimating tool.• Provide engineering support for unit shutdowns and turnarounds.• Attend Reliability Center meetings and understand assigned Reliability Center economic and operational issues.• Develop and maintain customer relationships with internal customers, i.e., Reliability Center Management, Turnaround Services Group, Construction Services Group, Inspection, etc. • Coordinate work of in-house designers and outside engineering for small maintenance work/projects.• Utilize appropriate parts of the PMG process for small projects.• Maintain and update project files on all maintenance projects that will be performed during T/As.• Scope the engineering work needed, perform the front-end engineering, and supervise the detailed design for T/A maintenance projects.• Participate in the planning and coordination effort for T/As.• During T/As, assist the T/A group in general engineering and administrative issues.• Participate and lead RCFAs as required.
