Responsible for overseeing the accounting cycle for the corporate entities providing development, construction, and marketing services for a range of high-rise projects downtown and in the GTA.Specifically responsible for:- Encouraging precision and efficiency in the monthly accounting process, and constantly searching for improvements thereon- Reconciling and overseeing intercompany transactions and charges- Preparing and issuing payroll for all entities- Supporting the operations and management teams via annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and other ad hoc projects- Mentoring the accounting staff who reports to me- Coordinating with external advisors to ensure that year-end filings are done accurately and on time, and that tax efficiencies are realized- Keeping the big picture in mind and bringing up process ideas wherever I might see them
