Often, we find ourselves agonizing over the “what ifs” in life, rather than simply taking a project or scenario head-on and accomplishing it to the best of our abilities. Throughout my life, I have strived to complete the tasks I face with all that I have. In 1989 I purchased my father’s one truck septic service business. He started in it 1976 to provide additional income alongside the family farm. The septic service business provided a wide range of services from portable toilet rentals to emergency repairs, lift station serving to leach field design and installation, and more. In 1991 I began commercial dewatering for dairy producers as well as municipality lagoons. I was able to design and custom build many specialty products to make dewatering much simpler and cost-effective. I have since expanded the dewatering services to reach many breweries, methane digesters, and any liquid waste producers which furthered my passion for creating a sustainable future. With many years of hard work, I was able to grow my company, Dimmick Septic Services, and the parent company, NewTech, which handles dewatering sales and services. Through the many years of juggling the family farm, the septic services, and the dewatering projects, I was able to broaden my knowledge in the field as well as shape my business skills. My dedicated employees worked hard alongside me with Dimmick Septic Services, to serve the better portion of central Vermont and parts of New Hampshire. After many successful years, I began looking for new business endeavors, and after a compelling offer from Wind River Environmental, decided to sell the septic service business, holding onto the NewTech portion. My two sons and I have recently acquired Weed Precast, a precast concrete manufacture based out of Vermont and New Hampshire. At our facilities, we produce and sell many septic-related products such as tanks, manholes, pipes, fittings, and any supplies one would need to handle liquid waste. We have many plans with the new business and hope to expand our knowledge in the world of concrete. Since the sale of Dimmick Septic Services and the purchase of Weed Precast, I have devoted my time to serving my customers under NewTech. With my thirty-plus years of experience in the wastewater treatment industry, my interest in turning liquid waste into energy, and my determination to offer superior services, I aim to assist clients with any and all needs, questions, and sales, specifically in the liquid waste industry.
