I was employed as a new product development design engineer as part of the research and development team at Harlequin Manufacturing Ltd. My position involved me analyzing competitor products, carrying out concept design and development by means of CAD (Solid Edge) including mould tool and jig / fixture design, DFMA, prototype manufacture, test rig design and assembly, product validation testing, BOM creation and applying cost saving methods where possible. My role involved me working closely with other engineers and departments as well as factory staff, clients and suppliers alike.

My position involved the operation of machines and equipment for the production of ice cream and bakery products. During my time of employment I was the only staff member responsible for the production of ice cream products. This demonstrates my dependability and the confidence my employers have in me. Other duties included providing outstanding customer service as well as assisting in the training of new staff.

I worked alongside a team of tradesmen during my school summer holidays. My duties included assisting in the assembly and installation of fixtures and fittings, loading and unloading of materials for transportation, the removal of excavated materials and the pouring of concrete.
