I have 33 years University experience in Project Management, Faculty Management and Research Senior Management. From 1995 to 2003 I had the great opportunity to work at the UK Open University in the Faculty of Arts as a Senior Course Manager. I project managed the curriculum development for a number of new courses involving collaboration with Academic Authors, BBC Audio and Visual production staff, Editors and Publishers to ensure the delivery of new courses. A highlight was being a member of the team that delivered a complex course on Elizabethan Theatre with an innovative audio-visual component and a 5-day residential in London in collaboration with the Globe Theatre Educational Unit.In 2003 I returned to Australia to work at Charles Sturt University in the Faculty of Arts. As Faculty Manager. I worked closely with the Faculty Dean to implement Faculty strategy, manage and advise on budgets, coordinate Faculty support staff resources and support student recruitment. In 2011 I was appointed to Manager Research Coordination in the University Research Office. In this portfolio I was responsible for ensuring effective Research Support services provided by around 12 staff in Grant Management and Higher Degrees. Following an organizational review in 2020 I commenced as Senior Manager Research Grants and Partnerships. Through to 2024 I have focused on implementing high level support for research funding applications and engagement with funding agencies and industry, primarily through various Cooperative Research Centers.
