Responsibilities included development, maintenance, deployment of software, and management of a small development team for the United States Army’s Low Overhead Training Toolkit (ALOTT) Homestation Enabling Low-overhead Integrated Exercise (HELIX) program. This program is written in Java and allows instructors to quickly generate Brigade and below scenarios to stimulate Command and Control (C2) systems. This allows soldiers to train on the targeted C2 systems and respond to the situations at hand. Responsible for software task identification, assignment to team members, and tracking of software task progress. Produced Graphical User Interfaces (GUI), PostgreSQL calls to update and retrieve data from the system database, trouble shot network messages to and from the C2 systems, and participated in hardware/software integration.

Responsibilities include requirements analysis and requirements specification creation for the Combat Vehicle Training System (CVTS). Creation of CVTS vehicle logic code to handle the results of hardware inputs made by the man in the loop and to drive the vehicle hardware lights, displays, simulated sights, and mock-up weapons. Responsible for software task identification, assignment to team members, and tracking of software task progress. Produced a GUI for a virtual hardware simulation program. The GUI and the virtual hardware program were used to; send the appropriate Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) Protocol Data Unit (PDU) to the vehicle logic to; allow testing of the vehicle logic without the actual hardware being connected. Used tool provided by our vendor to create realistic vehicle reticules for the CVTS Thermal sights. Integrated an LCD display to allow the azimuth of the turret to be displayed in the LCD. Assisted in the Hardware/Software integration and testing. Participated in team meetings, engineering meetings, and program management meetings.

Responsibilities included creation of the simulated communications system model of the P-3 Orion using ASTi Telestra 4 hardware and software. Participated in the creation of an acoustics mixing algorithm for use in a proof of concept sonobuoy modeling program. Systems Engineeringsupport for PMAAA Manpower Personnel and Training (MPT) to producetrainer specifications for the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV)training systems, Electronic classroom installation, and overallsystems engineering counsel for the MPT systems engineering team.Development of a JSAF HLA/DIS Gateway for the AirVAST ASW training system. Accomplished the rehosting of the Image Generator for the Army’s Close Combat Tactical Trainer (CCTT) by replacing the CCTT Application Programming Interface (API) with a new API, which was incorporated into the CCTT code, using ADA wrappers. Used g++/gcc to create the API for the CCTT rehost effort. Used GNAT to create ADA tasks, ADA wrappers, and modifications to CCTT code.
