Robert has over 40 years of industry experience as a technical and business development leader with General Electric and Johnson and Johnson. As Director, Worldwide Licensing & Acquisition,Robert has spent 5 years bringing outstanding non-core business transactions to senior management at the Johnson & Johnson family companies such as Ethicon Endo-Surgery, DePuy, Mitek, Consumer Products, and Ethicon Products. Robert was Director of Technology Assessment and Development (Advanced Research) for Ethicon Endo-Surgery for 5 years. While Project Manager for General Electric Corporate Research and Development Center, he was responsible for the design and prototyping of the LOGIC 700 premium ultrasound imaging system that was the backbone of the GE Medical Systems ultrasound product line from 1992 - 2001.Since 2007, Robert has been President of Xi Technology, LLC, a life sciences and medical device business development consulting practice located in Mason, OH. Since 2011, Robert has been the co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Intelligent Green Products. IGP is a development, design, manufacturing and marketing company focused on commercializing unique, category creating products that support global sustainability efforts and simultaneously address end-user convenience and ROI expectations. Since 2017, Robert has consulted for and was then appointed, Director R&D for medical device start-up Xact Medical. Xact is developing and bringing to market the first Point-of-Care medical robot for precision delivery of needles for vascular access, biopsy and delivery of therapeutic modalities.Robert has over 30 issued US and International Patents with applications pending.Robert earned his B.S. in Applied Physics and M.E. in Nuclear Physics from Cornell University. He holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Union University.
