As Mill Operator I was in charge of making sure there was enough plastic in the rolling mill to fill the crib, which fed into the production line to make the product. I used a computer to control the speed of the material going into the mill.• Make sure mill is full of material • Keep track of speed of the mill using a computer• Keep the crib full, which is the main small rolling mill before going into production line for make the final product.

I started off on Night Clean up in 2008 and in 2009 I was moved to the Cleanroom where we sent completed poured casting through a shot blast to be cleaned. Then, I was moved to B-line to be trained as a line operator and a few months later I was moved to A-line to be trained on that line as a line operator. A few months after that I was given the chance to work in the melt department which I took and was trained in pouring iron and making charges to load into the holding furnaces. I held that position until January 9, 2011 when they laid off a good handful of workers, including myself. I also worked with some electricians and milwrights to gain some knowledge on new trades and would like to expand more in those fields.• I can take charge to complete major tasks• I can take order very well• I can work under extreme heat and cold• Heavy lifting is no problem• Re-lining ladles-grinder-chipper• I can work long hours without problems• Being pushed to my limits to prove I have what it takes
