I’m currently the Purchasing Specialist at the American Legion National Headquarters located in Indianapolis, IN. This position also includes the folllowing duties and activities:• Obtaining quotes/bids and ultimately buying printed materials, office furniture, marketing materials, copiers, technology, etc. • Maintain more than eighteen full production copiers in Indiana, Washington, D.C., Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. • Provide design services using Adobe's Creative Suite regarding business cards, signage, banners and various other printed materials, for American Legion State Departments across the United States, as well as the American Legion's Emblem Sales catalog.• Creating purchase orders and reconciliation of invoices using SAP Concur and Blackbaud’s Financial Edge.• Maintain stationary, supply room, including office products and printed materials, replenishing when needed.• Daily use of Microsoft Word and Excel, Blackbaud's Financial Edge, ADP Workforce, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat Pro DC.• Integration, rollout and training: SAP Concur’s Invoice, Expense, Travel and Purchasing platform. This includes the creation of training guides and tools for 300 users, one on one training, and acting as the SAP Concur Administrator for the American Legion.• Integration, rollout and training: Pitney Bowes SendPro Desktop Shipping software. Supervising user groups, training users and support.• Accounts Payable operations. Including uploading/downloading secure account information between SAP Concur Invoice, Purchasing and Expense into Financial Edge, vendor management, reconciliation of invoices and issuing checks from various organizations within the American Legion, twice weekly.• Daily use of Microsoft Dynamics 365. This includes daily meetings, training videos and general training and screen sharing between employees within seven locations: Indianapolis, IN, Washington, DC, St. Paul, MN, Milwaukee, WI, Denver, CO, Seattle, WA and Philadelphia, PA.• Working directly with leadership regarding planning and on demand, time sensitive speciality requests/needs.• SAP Concur Administrator. This includes creation of employee profiles, approval flows, permissions, cash advance administration, accounting review, etc., and training regarding SAP Concur Invoice, Request, Travel and expense.• Onboarding and daily use of Microsoft Dynamics 365.• Designing awards including: plaques, trophies, donor recognition walls, and framing.
