I currently in a DevOps role, developing and supporting web based applications, written primarily in Java, on a Spring MVC framework. Maintaining clean, concise, modular and well annotated code, is crucial to providing a flexible service that meets our customers various needs.In this role I also work closely with architects to develop MicroServices, tailored specifically to our clients needs integrated with our company's SSO, and digested through a WSDL.Because I'm I am responsible for updating and supporting our search service end to end, I not only need to have a strong understanding of various search engines, including Google Search Appliance and ElasticSearch, but I also must have a in-depth understand of various Data source, in order to best configure our data ingestion tool / crawler. To gain an understanding of these data sources, Jive, confluence, Sharepoint, RDBMS PostGres, etc, required to communicate directly with content owners (customers) to best serve them.

In this position I worked closely with, and learned from, senior developers to build a data analytics dashboard. This dashboard provided pertinent analytics to our content owners about how their customers were using search. It provide them with granular information such as, top searched queries and total documents being served, in a easy to digest graphical format. This application was composed of several a different applications.I was involved from end to end, on this project, developing and configuring various aspects. It was composed fo a HDFS to store raw logs, a Hadoop Map Reduce application to transform the data from these logs and store in a Redis NoSQL Db, and our core Dashboard application built using JavaServlet and JSPs packaged on in a war served on a Tomcat Sever
