Elected as a corporate officer to lead all enterprise strategy and growth activities for the largest global defense company with $65B+ in annual revenues and over 115,000 employees. Direct report to the CEO and member of the Executive Leadership Team. Led a 1,200-person Strategy & Business Development function across four business areas that generated over $60B+ in new business awards annually from US and international customers. Conducted multiple acquisitions and divestitures across the portfolio, to include the proposed $4.4B acquisition of Aerojet Rocketdyne. Oversaw 40+early-stage venture investments completed by Lockheed Martin Ventures (LMV) and doubled the size of the corporate venture fund (to $400m) to improve deal flow across prioritized technology areas. Served initially as Vice President, Strategy & Business Development, for the $11B Space business area.

Elected as a corporate officer to lead strategy and business development activities for a British FTSE 250 company with $3B in annual revenues and over 11,000 employees. Direct report to the CEO and member of the company’s Group Executive. Developed a corporate strategy to build a balanced portfolio for sustainable growth in multiple end markets. Led all aspects of the $1.5B acquisition of Aeroflex in May 2014, with responsibilities for due diligence, valuation, financing (with the CFO), investor engagement, and integration. Re-shaped the portfolio through the divestiture of seven businesses over an 18-month period, resulting in ~$400m in aggregate proceeds. Re-organized the corporate strategy function to directly support business strategy and development activities across the company.

Elected as a corporate officer to lead all strategy and corporate development activities for a Fortune 500 company with $4.7B in annual revenues and over 14,000 employees. Direct report to the CEO. Developed a new vision and strategy to achieve $5B+ in acquired sales through affordable and actionable acquisitions in non-defense market segments. Built a corporate strategy organization, installed a new integrated planning process, and assumed temporary responsibility for corporate communications.
