As a trial lawyer and litigator at Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg LLP with more than 40 years of experience, I handle commercial disputes in trial and appellate courts, ADR forums, and administrative and governmental proceedings nationwide and abroad. I have been an Associate Editor of Litigation, the journal of the Section of Litigation of the ABA, for 33 years and have authored the quarterly column “Advance Sheet” since 2000, becoming one of the most published authors in the journal’s history. I am also an adjunct professor of philosophy at Saint Xavier University in Chicago and St Bonaventure University in New York and have taught courses on philosophy, the American Constitution, and the American legal system at universities in Poland, the Czech Republic, Turkey, China, India and Vietnam. I appear regularly on local television in Chicago as a commentator on a range of international, political, and legal topics and am the host of a weekly radio show on classical music on WXAV, Saint Xavier’s student radio station. I am actively involved in the arts in Chicago, serving among other things on the board of Chicago Opera Theater and Court Theater, and support numerous not-for-profit organizations as board member or otherwise.
