I split my time between developing litigation strategies and trying high-stakes cases. Having spent literally years in trials, I understand that jurors prefer to be both educated and entertained. They also have to be able to easily understand complex issues which opposing experts are often trying to intentionally confuse (such as in talc litigation where plaintiffs experts, with no scientific basis, are suddenly trying to blame mesothelioma on contaminated cosmetic talc - a theory these experts overlooked for the last several decades as they testified about real asbestos products). I have extensive experience handling cases involving alleged exposures to chemicals such as asbestos, talc, silica, benzene, PCBs, dioxins, metals, and agricultural wastes. I have also represented plaintiffs including the family of a woman who drowned in an elevator during a Houston flood. Understanding that a trial and verdict is not always the best litigation solution, I always puts the client in a position to resolve a case from a position of strength. I have experience in representing food companies, automotive product manufacturers, toy companies, makers of construction and consumer goods, hospitality concerns, charitable institutions and others.
