• Solaris UNIX system administrator for an Air Force real-time Intelligence, Surveillance, & Reconnaissance (ISR) data collection system • Coordinate with site personnel and the OEM contractor(s) in the support of sub-system software during all real-time operations, operational testing, and during both pre-mission and post-mission activities . • Provide on-site Level 3 customer support; troubleshoot, resolve higher level system issues, coordinate with vendors / technicians.• Solid Knowledge of Oracle Solaris 10, ZFS, Oracle Solaris Zones, Oracle Solaris Clusters, Oracle T4-2, T4-4, and X3-2 servers, ZS3-2 and 7420 Storage Appliances, and CISCO switches.• During real-time operations, responsible for constantly monitoring system health and actively intervening to resolve any detected problems. • Responsible for the monitoring and tuning of specific sub-systems to achieve optimum level of performance as well as detecting, isolating, and resolving system/sensor problems to maximize system availability.• Regularly execute system backups and recovery procedures.• Install software patches, investigate and report software anomalies/deficiencies, and configure software to accommodate operational requirements.• Perform as an advisor and trainer for military operators and maintainers.

* Maintain fiber optic infrastructure.* Configure and maintain Cisco networking gear.* First look and repair on Sun / Oracle hardware as well as installed operating systems and application software.* Windows desktop and server maintenance; Server 2003, Server 2008.
