Operations Coordinator
Current• Oversee the day-to-day operations of an 81,000 sq. ft. facility, and 10,000 sq. ft. event space throughout campus• Supervise 15-20 students including Operations Graduate Assistant, Building Managers, Setup Crew, and AV Techs• Coordinate all custodial and maintenance issues through the proper channels • Provide event, setup, furnishing, and AV suggestions to clients planning events in all event spaces on campus• Communicate with HR and students to ensure quick and timely hiring… Show more • Oversee the day-to-day operations of an 81,000 sq. ft. facility, and 10,000 sq. ft. event space throughout campus• Supervise 15-20 students including Operations Graduate Assistant, Building Managers, Setup Crew, and AV Techs• Coordinate all custodial and maintenance issues through the proper channels • Provide event, setup, furnishing, and AV suggestions to clients planning events in all event spaces on campus• Communicate with HR and students to ensure quick and timely hiring of new employees• Create building safety policies to ensure safe re-opening following the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown• Collaborate with campus partners, students, and community members to create renderings for a $2 million remodel of the first floor• Respond to any emergency occurring within the building including medical and structural damages • Create a new hybrid AV system to accommodate the change from in-person events to hybrid and virtual events• Participate in the selection of a new $110,000 per year janitorial contract • Completed a $50,000 renovation of the event spaces within the University Student Center including, repainting, purchasing new furniture, updating signage to meet new branding standards, and pressure washing the entire building in coordination with six separate vendors• Collaborate with Campus Safety office to ensure the building is within fire code and life safety items are properly stocked Show less
