Senior Architect, based in Design Engine's Exeter office. Responsibilities include leading complex design teams, managing client and stakeholder relationships, and championing the design vision. My role has also included developing project bid submissions, and management of staff within the office. I am chair of Design Engine's sustainability group, which looks to collaborate with industy colleagues and disseminate best practice to develop internal policies and strategies. Sustainable approach to re-use and extension of a dated building utilising the existing embodied carbon, including a phased strategy to minimise disruption to tenants. As an urban designer key responsibilities included:-Project managed multiple urban design reviews of large residential and mixed use schemes for private developer clients to support planning applications. -Project lead for several projects assessing the potential impact of a new medium density housing code in New South Wales. Site testing schematic designs on a range of typical sites and benchmarking against current council development controls.-Project lead for a medium density housing competition entry in Queensland. -Key role in driving concept design for a temporary public space competition entry at the Sydney Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences. -My design expertise has been highly valued in the practice and contributed to the development of precinct master plans and outline designs for multi-unit residential schemes.

As project architect for a practice focused on multi-unit residential development in London responsibilities and achievements included:• Led and coordinated a design team of seven consultants, in producing an integrated planning submission for 28 residential units and c.2000sqm of office space within a constrained heritage context, receiving excellent feedback from client and director. http://www.davysmitharchitects.co.uk/projects/waterworks/• Produced a robust set of tender documentation, coordinated the wider design team, and carefully managed on-site contractor queries on a complex multi-part project involving the part-demolition, extension and re-modelling of a substantial Victorian building to provide 6 additional apartments.• Working to a tight deadline, I additionally produced a draft feasibility study for Davy Smith’s submission to the Family Mosaic Housing Association framework. The design element of the submission scored particularly highly, and as a result, Davy Smith were retained by Family Mosaic, despite the number of architects on the framework being reduced.

I worked as a Part II Architectural Assistant from October 2012 until completing the Part III qualification, registering with the architects registration board, and being promoted to the role of Architect in January 2016.My role as a Part II assistant included project managing multiple projects at planning stage, and working within a larger project team on tender documentation and construction drawings. I worked on mixed use and residential schemes ranging from one off houses to 300 unit master plans.

I undertook detailed design drawings and collaborated with the Mechanical and Electrical Consultant to integrate building services into the design.
