I love how advertising at it’s best, with the combination of great media and creative, can grow businesses, provide utility and impact culture. As a result, I actively pursued a career in media, working across consultancy, agency and client based roles with a mix of global, regional and local market remits. Senior Comms Planning Manager Uk&IUnilever Jul 2014 - Dec 2018Blackfriars, London, GbI was accountable for a media budget of circa £200M (gross) across the UK and Ireland. I delivered consistent positive ROI and improved efficiency of €10M+ annually, across all media channels (traditional, digital, sponsorships and partnerships).I delivered effective communications strategies for the Personal Care, Refreshment, Homecare & Food categories and was responsible for overall Unilever media strategy, planning, contract management, trading, and administration. I created, implemented, and managed agency processes, ways of working and cultivated senior level relationships with Mindshare, Kinetic and specialist search agency Resolution, resulting in improvement of agency satisfaction by over 5%.I partnered with a wide range of internal stakeholders/departments (both international and local) to measure and deliver maximum ROI, not just for media but for total marketing expenditure, including ecommerce and in-store.
