Rwis Technician (Roadway Weather Instrument Systems)
Led all aspects of technical support and administration for the Wisconsin RWIS (Roadway Weather Instrument Systems) program, to include the installation, troubleshooting/repair and maintaining of weather monitoring equipment such as wind speed wind direction systems, precipitation sensors, and relative humidity monitoring sensors.• Diagnosed and repaired hardware, software, and system issues; reported the technical status of the system to ensure functionality and uptime.• Drove the set-up and connecting of PCs, laptops, and equipment to networks; installed updates to applications including antivirus, peripheral, and device drivers.• Installed/reinstalled, upgraded and replaced hardware and software; provide technical support for activities associated with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of reported problems.• Identified, troubleshooted and resolved computer hardware, servers and network equipment as well as connection/compatibility issues; troubleshooted and repaired to the component level.• Delivered training, coaching and guidance to junior technician and users on all aspects of technology, conducted application testing, and maintained systems and equipment.
