I grew up on a truck farm near Lake Michigan just south of St. Joseph, MI. After graduating from MSU I worked for Farm Credit Services in Charlotte before advancing to a commodity program manager for Michigan Farm Bureau. I served as councilman and Mayor in Williamston, all the while renovating homes as a hobby eventually starting my own construction company 4-R Construction and Preservation LLC that focuses on low energy consumption construction and aging in place retrofitting of homes.
