I began working with Rare Coins at Great Southern Coins in 2013. After 6 years of office management, I stepped away from rare coins to start a local digital marketing firm with my wife: C&M Consulting. Our goal was to utilize my years of e-commerce experience to help local brick and mortar stores survive the sudden shift to the digital landscape (brought on by Covid-19). It worked, and allowed us the time and financial strength to work from home and grow as a two-person team. After a few years growing C&M Consulting, my wife and I had our first child. Around the same time, I was contacted to come back to Great Southern Coins full time as COO. Today, I focus daily on bringing value to our business, employees, and most importantly our many loyal customers by delivering educational content, quality coins, and unmatched customer service.

I worked with a small Accounting team under direct supervision of the President and CEO of the company, as well as the Controller. My first major task was to take their expense process from completely on paper, to digitized and automated using Deltek Account software. This is where I shine, always, and it was a great experience. From there, I automated the billable time structure and made workflows that enabled employees, PMs, and Supervisors to quickly and accurately bill time to overhead or Client billable projects. Contract adherence was essential for billing, as well as project setup/WBS. -

I learned how much can be done with a small crew of dedicated individuals and a few simple computer programs. I was challenged to find new processes and ways to organize data, in an effort to quickly and accurately make business decisions. Like much of sales, the real money is made on the buy side, not the sell side, and GSC demanded great relationships with nation-wide suppliers and properly communicating what we needed to be profitable.
