Development, solicitation, award and cradle to grave administration of: large dollar, long term fixed price systems subcontracts utilizing a JIT format for deliveries of material, firm fixed price materials and service subcontracts for structural/mechanical products, electrical and electronic supplies, scientific test equipment, ADPE hardware/software (including negotiation of software license agreements), heavy earth moving equipment and construction materials. large diameter military specification cables and electrical equipment/supplies utilized in support of the U.S. Nuclear Weapons Testing Program at the Nevada Test Site. Responsibilities include coordinating replacement of discrepant materials, issuing contract change orders and reviewing contract files for final closeout, chairing technical evaluation committees, preparation and issuance of requests for proposals and requests for information, development and approval of small business subcontracting plans, subcontractor conformance to Subcontractor Technical Representative (STR) guidelines, and supervision of exempt section employees supporting section activities. Accomplishment(s) - Development of product exchange programs in several JIT contracts for the return of spent tire casings, automotive battery cores and toner cartridges for office equipment in exchange for monetary credit from the supplier(s); Support of the timely completion of both the Personal Dosimetry Project and the Just-In-Time Barcode Labeling/Scanning Project; development of company procedure for negotiating software licenses agreements; and thesuccessful on-time delivery of over $10 million dollars of construction materials (diversified over ten separate subcontracts) required for the completion of the Spill Test Facility ahead of schedule.
