Ilsip Intern
CurrentThe University of Springfield's Illinois Legislative Staff Intern Program(ILSIP for short), is a ten month internship program where I work at the Illinois General Assembly. Upon its conclusion I will be offered a full-time position with the specific legislative staff I have been assigned to. For my internship I have been assigned to Illinois' Committee on Government Forecasting and Accountability(CoGFA), a committee tasked with providing data on revenue, pensions, and research. I am given the same tasks of regular employees, and work a standard 8:30 to 4:30 day. I am also attending the PSC 525 class that will provide credit for a Master's Degree, as part of ILSIP. Upon the conclusion of ILSIP I will either accept a full-time position, pursue a Master's degree in Public Policy, or partake in the University of Springfield's Graduate Intern Programs.
