Duties: Conducted scientific research in Translational Psychiatry. Data from this project were presented at the 2022 Anxiety and Depression Association Conference. Published 8 manuscripts in leading international scientific journals, including a review article focused on the usefulness of mismatch negativity as a biomarker for schizophrenia.

I was employed as a faculty member in the Translational Neuroscience Program at the University of Pennsylvania. My research focused on the development of rodent translational biomarkers for psychiatric disease, using EEG measures (mismatch negativity, gamma oscillations) and behavioral/cognitive measures (sustained attention, progressive ratio). I used these techniques to help further our understanding of how changes in GABA, nicotine and glutamate neurotransmitter systems contribute to the development of illnesses such as schizophrenia, autism and depression, both as part of NIH supported projects and collaborative projects with pharmaceutical industry partners.
