Founded a new venture with the intent to focus on the adaptive reuse and rehab of distressed real estate properties. Launched a concept called Box Row with the intent of using shipping containers to build micro retail and office spaces.

Oversaw all underwriting for new acquisition and development targets. Communicated with brokers and owners on potential targets. Assisted with contract negotiation, due diligence, and capital structures. Worked with owner in acquiring new equity partners and prepared investment presentations.

Provided financial and budgeting expertise to a portfolio of student housing assets. Also provided underwriting for all new acquisitions, assisted in disposition strategy, and searched for new off market opportunities.

Provided financial planning, guidance, and analysis for a portfolio valued at over $3 billion. Also assisted in corporate reporting for quarterly earnings call. Created a financial database using Microsoft Access and SQL to assist in reporting and guidance. Assisted in the financial integration of two of the largest portfolio buys in recent student housing history at $627 million and $862.8 million, respectively.

A large part of my job duties involved financial analysis of existing real estate projects as well as assisting with operational estimates for new project developments. I became very familiar with the intricate workings of the documents for both 501(c) (3) bond financed projects as well as partial equity financed projects.In addition, I built new excel cash flow worksheets that provided analysis of project sites and their performance. I also led a team in coordinating and implementing a Purchase Card system that created new opportunities for revenue, decreased expenses, and eliminated petty cash at project sites.
