Hi, my name is Robert Fitton. I am currently a freshman at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. I have a natural drive for making meaningful connections and leadership which has helped me take part in programs and activities that highlight these strengths. The main time where leadership was important to me was when I started my team for the Polar Plunge in New York. I lead a team of over 50 people for the past 10 years. I lead this team to reaching a fundraising total of over $120,000 for the Special Olympics. The Special Olympics is also important in the way that I make meaningful connections as through this experience, I have been able to meet the people that run this charity and learn how to run something that is bigger than me. Another experience that highlights these traits was when I was younger and built skateboards for myself and friends. I ran it like it was my business, leading the brand into local parks and even making some connections with the guys in the local skate shops. Through this experience , I was able to gain some experience I the business world as I was marketing and selling my own product. This experience definitely pushed me down the path in deciding on my business career today! As a student at Indiana University who is passionate about leadership, making connections, responsibility, and effective communication, I am excited to explore these passions in the business world through finance.
