As Electrical Superintendent over 5 Military camps countrywide is a big challenge. Insuring that all electrical installations meet not only NEC code standards but also US Military standards. Daily duties included meeting with foreman and leadsmen on all camps, going over all projects progress. Overseeing all electrical material orders, tracking and approvals along with verifying UL Listed products upon delivery. With most of my electricians being from other countries a lot of training is required on NEC practices and installations methods. As new RFP we’re received from the Military it was my responsibility to extract the electrical part and build a bill of materials. And design and engineer a project based on the military scope of work. Perform and engineer load calculation for both panels and generators and put design on drawings. And work with AUTO CAD draftsman to insure accurate drawing. And with a vast knowledge of construction I also assist in other capacities at supervisor level.
