Launched the AED category in Jan 2009, which involved introducing a range of Public Access Defibrillators (AEDs) to our distribution network in Australia. This ongoing role includes the full scope of marketing, sales and promotion of AEDs in Australia as well as ensuring a product range and offering that represents a truly competitive edge as well as being correctly positioned for the Australian market. Key aspects of the role include ongoing sales and product training to distributors around Australia thus ensuring sales methods and strategies employed by distributors are aligned with our proven formula for success.

This interim position included responsibility for estimates and preparation of quotations on large commercial wall and ceiling decorative and acoustic paneling contracts, as well as deriving long term product development solutions.

Founded an enterprise in Australia sourcing and importing high grade laboratory filter paper in bulk, converting the product locally and distributing Australia-wide under the registered trade mark, Filtech. Scope of the business was increased by introducing to Australia the Glasschem range - the first electrically operated Sulphur Dioxide Rankine Method laboratory wine analysis system. This small business was merged into a division of the major shareholder, Supawood, in 2005. Following change of corporate focus at Supawood, it was my role to find a buyer for, and engineer the sale of the laboratory division. Within 1 month the successful and profitable sale of this business was concluded in 2 separate divisions to 2 different laboratory suppliers. Both divisions and brands remain well accepted in the Australian marketplace today.

Manager of Analytical Laboratory Supplies division. This included reporting to owner on overall business financial performance and profitability, setting sales and marketing strategies, being part of the strategic team involved in sales forecasting, setting sales and marketing budgets, detailed analysis of financial statements to achieve increased profitability, development of structured and streamlined business procedures and systems and ultimately the successful sale of the business in 1999. Included in these functions was the start-up of a Laboratory Filter Paper division of the business in 1997. Succeeded in conveying value of this fledgeling start-up filtration division in sufficient manner to sell this as a profitable and stand-alone division in 1999.

There is no other environment like the old-school army to learn discipline. 2 years of national military service, with all the grueling challenges of basic training like route marches through the night with full kit, in an Artillery regiment being trained for the real thing. Here I experienced what it is to obey without question, and that ones physical limits go far, far beyond what you set for yourself psychologically.
