Bob is a museum and heritage specialist with over four decades of service to a variety of heritage interests. Specializing in interpretive planning and the management and development of museums, Bob’s work has included the restoration and maintenance of heritage sites and historic buildings, and senior management responsibilities within the Nova Scotia Museum system. Bob has played leading roles in heritage tourism projects, in overseeing the establishment and operation of museums and the development and implementation of a standards-based, peer group evaluation system that fosters excellence among museums.Among his many accomplishments, Bob was the first Director of the Dartmouth Heritage Museum. He was also the first Director of the Sherbrooke Village Restoration Project providing on site leadership from 1970-1973 during the formative years of the development. Bob implemented a transition from a government led project to community-based management while establishing and overseeing an aggressive program of research, program development, building restoration, property acquisition, policy formulation, and infrastructure development. After leaving Sherbrooke Village, Bob assumed a series of progressively responsible positions with the Nova Scotia Museum.
