Former Medical Platoon SGT; spent 11 years working in Valley Medical Center, Renton, WA; Allied Signal, non-destructive testing engineer; AS degree in Renewable Fuels and Ecology, (total of 256 credit hrs, not bad for never getting past a Community College!) Currently retired, but work for Veterans For Peace as former Coordinator, Chapter 9, Smedley Butler Bde, Boston MA. Getting old in body, but my spirit is still about 17 and my mind and voice work fine. I challenge all who feel war is the only way to bring about peace, seems pretty stupid to me, (a cup of coffee, a blueberry muffin and some conversation can work wonders in communication). I am active in various peace movements in the Boston area and am an advocate for equality, freedom, open speech and justice among other things.Currently I am the host of Truth & Justice Radio, WZBC 90.3 fm, (streaming live at wzbc.org) from 0600-1000 on Sundays. Past shows can be found on truthandjusticeradio.org. I try to find pieces that are out of the mainstream and need to be heard. As often as not, I find good pieces as well that have a pleasant outcome; I find that soothes the constant banter of negativity. WZBC, Newton, MA is a student production with all of the administrative and production run by the students through a duly elected Board.I believe in Random Acts of Kindness on a daily basis. Helping others need not cost anything, but the rewards are immense, just knowing you "did the right thing" is good enough for me. I have seen heros in everyday situations that go unheralded; I see and know a few sociopaths as well, I avoid the latter and applaud the former. I am a firm believer in Climate Change, but being an optimist, believe that if we, and other nations cut back on "defense", (actually offense), the world would be a safer place and the minds of scientists could move toward definitive energy sources far distant from fossil fuels.May all live in Peace and Harmony.
