Work on large scale mineral deposit, mineral system and geological mapping projects including Broken Hill, New England NSW, and the Lachlan Fold Belt has provided exposure to almost all types of mineral deposits found in Eastern Australia. Knowledge of regional patterns of mineralisation have been applied while working with State and Commonwealth agencies in regional landuse assessments. I have provided high-level advice to government in relation to mineral exploration administration and policies. Since leaving the Geological Survey of New South Wales, I have operated as an independent consultant assisting and facilitating mineral exploration and project development. I worked with Broken Hill Prospecting Ltd as a consultant and then Non-Executive Director at a time when there were expansions in resources at the Thackaringa cobalt-pyrite deposits near Broken Hill.
