Robert Gardener is a former Civil Servant in the Cabinet Office, and senior adviser to global corporations, governments and not-for-profit organisations. He has also spent time living in the Middle East where he worked for a wholly-owned company of the Government of Abu Dhabi.A winner of the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Europe Award for Public Law and Policy, Robert is ranked by Legal 500 UK for his “deep insight into government and public affairs”. He co-leads the firm’s global programme on geopolitical risk and national security, and is a member of the Global Regulatory & IPMT Leadership.The Public Law & Policy team at Hogan Lovells ensures the firm’s legal advice is strongly infused with a public policy perspective, to help provide clarity to clients on regulatory environments, and to inform clients’ current and prospective business decisions on which government policy may have an impact.
