An innovative chemical engineer with 40 years experience in process design and development with major international technolgy companies. I hold 65 US patents and a number of ongoing patent applictions and have published 35 technical papers. As a Distinguished Technologist, I managed major technology development efforts including:* Development of the Lummus OCT Technology now producing over 6 % of the world's propylene* A new process for the production of 1 butene and 1 hexene co-monomer* A major program for the hydrogenation of acetylenes and dienes in a catalytic distillation reactor in cooperation with Sinopec. This inlcuded the design and operation of a semi-commercial demonstration unit producing the equivalent of 2000 MT/yr product* A major ethylene pyrolysis heater development including the development of a complete CFD model for both the fireside and process side.* The design of a ethylene dimerization pilot plant* Major improvement programs for the Lummus/Clariant Catofin dehydrogenation process* The development, scaleup, and semi-commercial design and operation of a unique short residence time fluidized solids olefins reactor* Reaction kinetic modeling efforts in hydrogenation, dehydrogenation, metathesis, and oxidation.In addition, I was responsible for numerous technical and economic evaluations of new technologies being considered for development and or acquisition.
