Started as Training Captain in the Staff/Support section of a 100+ member fire department on U.S. Military bases in Kuwait. Design, implement, and evaluate fire department annual training program. Monthly and annual training schedules designed by our office. My additional duties included - department safety officer, facility security officer, key control, mail clerk, and filled in on Operations as needed for emergency response. Our office regularly met with host nation firefighters for training and possible mutual aid. CSA contract came to end in 2011 and we were kept with the new contract under ITT Exelis. Just before that, I filled in as Battalion Chief in Operations in North Kuwait. This position supervised four fire stations and around twenty fire personnel.
