Much of my responsibility at Texas Instruments was concentrated on the design and build of precision stamping dies to support their semi-conductor business. This not only allowed me insight to new products but also to impact the products design in order to make it easier to manufacture thus reducing it's cost and time to market.In 1995 I was selected as a member of the semi-conductor advanced design group using Pro-Engineer. I was heavily involved in creating parametric links between the product drawing and downstream tooling and assembly machines. Once perfected, the product engineer could modify the product model in Dallas then the resulting corresponding changes would take place on all related tooling and assembly equipment drawings....automatically.Very challenging and rewarding!
