Bob recently retired from KPMG (on September 30, 2014). Bob was located in KPMG’s Seattle office and was formerly the national partner in charge of telecommunications for KPMG’s State and Local Tax Practice. He has more than 38 years of experience in the federal, state and local tax area. He joined KPMG LLP in 1996 after working for nearly 20 years for U S WEST (then Qwest, and now CenturyLink), one of the original seven Regional Bell Operating Companies. Bob was a Tax Attorney for Pacific Northwest Bell, Director of Taxes for U S WEST Communications and Director of State and Local Taxes for U S WEST, Inc., where he was responsible for federal, state and local gross receipts taxes, property taxes and state tax legislative matters. Bob recently retired as a Tax Partner at KPMG but worked part-time as a Tax Managing Director in KPMG’s National Telecommunications Practice through September 30, 2014..
