This novel and flexible manufacturing process provides the ability to produce membranes with a wide range of organic and inorganic rejection properties, and with a positive as well as negative surface charge.The focus of NXF is on removal of micro-pollutants, i.e. pesticides, pharmaceuticals and endocrine disruptors, for potable water production. Other applications include color and TOC removal, softening, and partial desalination of industrial, process and municipal waters.The hollow fiber configuration provides an open non-fouling construction that can be backwashed. The membrane chemistry allows operation and cleaning with chlorine and high/low pH solutions, which makes it a very robust low-fouling device. Show less
