About Robert Giaquinto

I'm a Principal AI Research Scientist at Autodesk AI Lab, where I focus on developing large multimodal foundation models for the 3D world, particularly in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) domain. Previously, I was an Applied Scientist at Amazon Web Services’ Artificial Intelligence Lab working on large language models that power various generative AI applications --- such as, Amazon Q Developer (formerly CodeWhisperer) and Amazon's Titan models within the Bedrock service. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, where I was advised by Professor Arindam Banerjee and worked on deep generative models, approximate inference, and probabilistic models with applications to text and image data.
