I oversee the implementation and monitoring of privacy policies and programs that adhere to the highest standards of privacy regulations, such as PIPEDA, GDPR, and CASL, and that safeguard the users' data and rights.With over 14 years of experience in the privacy space, I have a proven track record of developing and delivering privacy solutions and strategies in both the public and private sectors. Before joining CanadaBuys in 2019, I managed privacy policy at the Canada Border Services Agency, balancing national security requirements and the protection of human rights. I also provided privacy consulting and advisory services to various organizations, such as TrustArc, Chevron, Pandora, and Michelin, helping them to achieve privacy compliance and excellence. I hold multiple certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, including CIPP/C, CIPM, and CIPP/E, and I am currently pursuing a Masters in Public Administration. I am passionate about privacy as a fundamental right and a social good, and I strive to promote a culture of privacy awareness and respect among the stakeholders and partners of CanadaBuys. I also enjoy learning and sharing best practices and insights on privacy trends and challenges, and I regularly participate in privacy conferences and events. I am a proud member of the Canadian Privacy Professionals Network, where I mentor and support aspiring privacy professionals.
