His passion for aviation grew strong from these experiences and created a pathway to a successful career as a professional pilot. Robert has consistently demonstrated an ability to foster relationships with his students, colleagues, and superiors through a tenacious desire to learn and strong work ethic. As a flight instructor, Robert was often called upon to help struggling learners. His patience, listening skills, and ability to communicate reassured students that they were capable of achieving their goals and maintained a 100% student pass rate as a result. As a charter pilot, Robert exhibited good-will, flying in adverse weather through challenging terrain to ensure that remote communities received essential goods.Later, Robert went on to earn a position as a First Officer for ExpressJet Airlines. He proved to be a quick study, grasping the complexities of airline flight operations with ease, and upgrading to captain just one year later. After thousands of hours of safe flying and multiple roles within the airline and a union volunteer, Robert was selected to become a Line Check Airman and Operational Experience Observer. In this role, Robert ensured his students were prepared to conquer the many obstacles they were likely to face both in and outside of the cockpit. Roberts technical knowledge and experience as a pilot, instructor, and evaluator make him a strong fit in an organization looking to refine training programs or develop operational procedures. Additionally, his wealth of leadership experience combined with his robust work ethic are well suited in a flight department looking to build upon their company culture.When Robert isn’t in the cockpit, you can find him in the great outdoors, hiking the Toiyabe National Forest and Red Rock Canyon Recreation Lands or hunting elk and deer in the Montana back country.
