More than thirty years of motorcycle industry experience and a lifelong motorcycling enthusiast. After stints in retail, distribution, product development and marketing, I came to MSF in 2001 to administer the MSF DirtBike School, the MSF’s newest curriculum program at that time. In 2004, I was appointed Project Manager of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program. Under my management, CMSP trained more than 600,000 students. Since 2004, my roles have evolved from project manager to general manager to vice president as my role grew from one program to broad responsibilities across MSF, SVIA, and ROHVA. Currently I'm responsible for the day-to-day training operations of MSF, ASI, and ROHVA, including program and project timelines, budget adherence, resource application, and strategic planning. In addition, I oversee the motorcyclist safety programs for New York, New Mexico, Colorado and West Virginia. This includes developing and maintaining relationships with training sponsors, monitoring quality assurance and delivery systems, evaluating proposed new site installations, directing program processes and administrative readiness, and managing general business aspects of the programs.In 2011, I was invited to be a member of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Motorcycle Safety Program Administrative Standards Technical Working Group, and recently joined the NHTSA Communities of Practice initiative to update the NHTSA Administrative Standards as well as the National Agenda for Motorcycle Safety (NAMS).Since 2005 I have been member of the California Strategic Highway Safety Plan Challenge Area 12: Motorcycle Safety group. I have served on the Georgia Motorcycle Safety Program Advisory Council since 2016. Recently I was invited to contribute the Alaska Strategic Highway Safety Plan Focus Area on motorcycle safety. Over the years I have the opportunity to represent the Motorcycle Safety Foundation to assorted local and national media outlets, appearing on numerous television and radio broadcasts and in publications such as the Popular Mechanics, New York Times, USA Today, and the Los Angeles Times.I am a life-long motorcyclist with over 50 years in the saddle enjoying both riding on and off the highway. I’ve enjoyed competing off road in motocross, enduro, hare and hound, grand prix, hare scrambles and point to point long-distance events, and have participated in track days on street bikes. I’m an Iron Butt Association member and a charter-life member of the American Motorcyclist Association.
