Former Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of Freed Maxick CPAs, Bob has over 45 years of experience in public accounting, including 13 years with a "Big Four" firm. He retired from Freed Maxick on December 31st, 2015. As a Director, Bob was responsible for supporting the planning of future growth and success of the Firm. He also has primary responsibility for many closely-held, private corporations in coordinating and providing a full range of services including audit, tax, and management consulting services. Additionally, he is active in acquisitions and divestitures of companies. Bob's responsibilities on the Five Star Bank Board include being the Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Executive Committee.Bob is currently on the Board of Directors of Financial Institutions, Inc. and Five Star Bank. Also, He is Vice- Chairman of the Board of Shanor Electric ,on the Board of Noco Incorporated, and NA Reality Funds I and II.Previously, he served as Chairman of the Erie County Salary Review Commission and past-member of the Board of International Imaging Materials, Inc., and past Chairman of the Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority. He is also past-member of the audit committees of Kaleida Health and Canisius College, Board of DiThe Buffalo Club, Board of Trustees of Canisius High School and the Board of Directors of The Buffalo Hearing and Speech Foundation. He also served as Vice-Chairman of the Erie County Private Industry Council, and President of Park Country Club, and director of CPA Associates International, an affiliation of over 60 accounting firms across the U.S. and internationally.
